HCS and TxHmL Provider Services

The Home and Community-based Services (HCS) program provides individualized services and support to people with intellectual disabilities who are living with their families, in their own homes or in other community settings, such as small group homes where no more than four people live. The local authority provides service coordination.  1st Life works with HCS providers to provide long-term housing solutions.

The Texas Home Living (TxHmL) program provides essential services and supports to Texans with an intellectual disability or a related condition so they can continue to live with their families or in their own homes.  1st Life works with providers who accept TxHmL which offers the services below, such as Respite.
